What it is

Overview

A raster-to-vector conversion tool that takes PNG, JPG, and WebP files and outputs scalable SVG, EPS, or DXF vectors using proprietary AI models. Graphic designers and print shop owners use it when they need vector versions of logos, simple illustrations, or artwork for scaling without quality loss. The 2.1 million monthly visits suggest steady adoption in design workflows where manual tracing would take longer.

Best for

  • converting logos, illustrations, diagrams, sketches, and design assets from PNG/JPG/WebP to SVG/EPS/DXF
  • users who need fast, web-based vectorization without software installation

Vectorizer.ai is a really good, maybe the best website / service for converting raster to vector. Conversions are surprisingly fast compared to other sites. I am using to convert many years of t-shirt, hat designs and logos that were created raster. Since you cannot even download a single sample, you have to rely on their description of their service and the quality. You are kind of risking your first month payment of just under $10.00. For me it is worth it though I have to say I hate how t

NEGATIVE reddit

I’m a seasoned graphic designer that’s seeing more and more AI generated images submitted from clients. The issue is that they want them screen printed on apparel or promo products and I’m not having any luck finding a good vectorizer online. These are very complex raster images with textures, fur, gradients, etc. I’ve tried Illustrator’s live trace, vectorizer.ai, aivector.ai, recraft.ai, photopea, super vectorizerpro, and others. So far, none meet my needs. I’m getting so frustrated! Unfortuna

POSITIVE reddit

I used vectorizer.ai to turn PNG icons into SVG icons that I can mess with code or and during the prototyping. But, it's now blocked behind a paywall. I tried searching, but using this basic dashboard icon (transparent & white) as my test image, I either get badly vectorized SVGs or just blank SVGs, vectorizer.ai is the only one that properly vectorized the icon (but I, of course, can't download it without paying £7.99). I use vectorizer.ai enough that I would pay £7.99 for it, but I'm currently

Just figured I’d share this, obviously art work is always a pain in the ass when customers know nothing about vectors and stuff like that, I started using Vectorizer.ai about two years ago when it first came out, it was free at the time and I haven’t looked back, now it’s like $10 a month for unlimited vectors, just drop a png file or jpg and it vectorizes it with pretty damn good accuracy, some things work better than others but for the price it has been a great tool to help my customers out an

Although the service works well, if you care about retaining ownership of images I’d stick to using Illustrator or another tool. Per their terms of service you are providing their company with full license rights of all uploads. Although all uploaded data is deleted after a period, this does not prevent data from being sold or redistributed to another service first. In fact, this company would be forgoing a huge opportunity by not having a subsidiary setup to redistribute & license out uploaded

NEGATIVE social_sentiment

DO NOT use vectorizer Ai. If you read their terms of service, they retain all rights over any uploaded images in perpetuity and can monetize your uploaded work!

NEGATIVE reddit

I thought it's a free service, in that case it would make sense since user should pay in another way. But it's a paid subscription service. Quite unfair, to be avoided indeed.

Questions

Frequently asked

What is Vectorizer.AI?

Vectorizer.AI is an AI-powered tool that converts raster images (PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, WebP) into clean, scalable vector graphics. It uses proprietary deep learning models and 15 years of vectorization expertise to transform pixel-based images into professional vector formats like SVG, EPS, DXF, and PDF.

Is Vectorizer.AI free?

Vectorizer.AI is not free, but offers unlimited uploads, vectorization, and previews without commitment. The Web App plan costs $9.99/month for unlimited manual processing, while API plans start at $9.99/month for 50 credits for automated workflows.

What image formats can I upload to Vectorizer.AI?

You can upload PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, or WebP images up to 3 megapixels in size. The tool will convert these raster formats into scalable vector graphics suitable for print, laser engraving, and other professional applications.

What vector formats does Vectorizer.AI export to?

Vectorizer.AI exports to SVG, EPS, DXF, and PDF vector formats. These formats provide extensive customization options and compatibility with different design software, making them suitable for various workflows including print, web, and manufacturing.

How is Vectorizer.AI different from traditional vectorization tools?

Unlike traditional vectorizers that use decades-old algorithms, Vectorizer.AI employs proprietary deep learning networks and a Vector Graph framework. It fits complete geometric shapes like circles and ellipses where possible, analyzes anti-aliasing pixel values, and includes features like symmetry modeling and sub-pixel precision for superior results.

What's the difference between the Web App and API plans?

The Web App plan ($9.99/month) is designed for manual uploading and downloading with unlimited processing but no API access. API plans (starting at $9.99/month for 50 credits) are for developers who want to integrate vectorization into their applications, with credit rollover up to 5× monthly allocation.

What types of projects is Vectorizer.AI best suited for?

Vectorizer.AI is perfect for logos, illustrations, and print workflows requiring scalable artwork. It's particularly valuable for large format printing, laser engraving, vinyl cutting, and CNC workflows where raster images would lose quality when scaled up.

Can I try Vectorizer.AI before subscribing?

Yes, you can upload, vectorize, and preview as many images as you like without commitment. You only need to subscribe when you're ready to download the production-ready vector results.
