“It's pretty impressive. The integration with Epic is flawless. The histories are fairly accurate, the PE and Plan I often dictate to it after the session with the patient. It's improving weekly as they do frequent updates to the algorithm. I would recommend trying it out as it's been saving me a good deal of time.”
“Not good. It's very basic and it does a very poor job. Stop recording randomly. Generates poor quality notes. It really lags other scribes out there.”
“This is the same as DAX copilot right? This is the one I use and I love it. I hardly ever type anything in my notes anymore. It listens, writes the HPI and then I dictate what I want it to include in the assessment and plan. I literally just say “for the assessment and plan include type 2 diabetes and chronic right shoulder pain” and it will list those two with the plan under it from the appointment. The formatting is also adjustable and your HPI can be brief or long and it can write in paragr”
“Microsoft confirmed Dragon Copilot, its AI clinical assistant, is scaling worldwide. It transcribes doctor visits, summarizes records, and integrates with health systems. Doctors say it reduces burnout by cutting hours of paperwork, while patients benefit from more face‑to‑face time.”
“I just switched from using Dragon Professional to Dragon Medical One. It's $100/month (a little less with 1 year contract). I can't say that it's actually better than Dragon Professional, but I have to train it a lot less (It is harder to train, though). They are also offering a component that they are calling DAX Copilot (Microsoft Copilot) which they are claiming can just listen in a medical visit and create a complete note that is not just a transcription. They want $175 just to do a 2 week t”
“I saw the Dax copilot presentation. I cannot see how this add-on is worth the price they are asking. Any more than $30 in additional monthly fees for Dragon would be excessive. At this point, it does not do enough to justify the cost.”
“I have office 365: But individuals cannot use it!!! I used it for dictation and happy to pay for the service, so why is it only for organizations??”
“Can’t even use the app…: You have to be with an organization or have a Microsoft 365 plan in order to access the app.”

“Monstrosity: This is one of the worst things to happen to healthcare in recent times. This app is garbage, it makes it very difficult to dictate. Logs out, crashes, have to pair with desktop multiple times, two factor authentication for minimal functionality. Do not work at a hospital that offers this”
“would not let me use app”

Dragon Copilot is Microsoft's AI-powered clinical assistant that transforms healthcare workflows through ambient conversation capture and automated documentation. It's specifically built for physicians, nurses, and radiologists to reduce documentation burden and generate role-specific clinical notes from natural conversations at the point of care.
Dragon Copilot uses ambient conversation capture technology that records multi-party, multilingual conversations during patient encounters without requiring specific recording protocols. The system automatically converts these recordings into specialty-specific, customizable clinical notes tailored for each healthcare role, whether physician encounters, nursing observations, or radiology reports.
Dragon Copilot integrates seamlessly with major electronic health record systems including Epic, athenahealth, and MEDITECH. For radiologists, it also integrates with PowerScribe One as a desktop companion, and nurses can access it through embedded EHR mobile solutions like Epic Rover.
Dragon Copilot is accessible through multiple platforms including web browser, mobile apps for Android and iOS, Windows desktop application, and embedded directly within supported EHR systems. The specific access method depends on the user's role, with physicians having the most platform options and nurses primarily using embedded EHR solutions.
Dragon Copilot provides role-based experiences: physicians get structured encounter documentation with coding suggestions and clinical evidence summaries, nurses receive real-time observation capture that converts to structured flowsheet documentation, and radiologists get AI assistance for report creation with prior report summarization and optimization suggestions. All roles benefit from automated referral letters and after-visit summaries.
Dragon Copilot serves physicians across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, and Switzerland. Nursing functionality is currently available in the United States, while radiology features are in US preview status.
Customer organizations using Dragon Copilot report measurable improvements including a 27% reduction in time spent on notes per appointment.
