“I miss those days too. I remember looking at their black and white logo and thinking wow c.ai ripoff, then I tried it, and I went "holy shit, this is the better c.ai". I can't say the same anymore.”

“dopple has some big issues that will keep it from ever really competing with Char AI. first of all when i first starting using it it had this bug where it would say the character instructions in the chat itself. then they seem to fix it ONLY to break the model and now after EVERY OTHER LINE it emotes and i cant seem to turn it off problem is the voice DOES NOT read the emotes and theres NO way to change that. it makes the actual spoken responses shorter and yeah..............secondly i got banne”

“Something...happened with the AI. This had been my favorite ai experience for a while, but since yesterday its as if all of the characters broke. Their cadence is off, they're stopping mid sentence, they do a long series of actions and end scenes without my input. I'm not sure what's going on but if it isn't fixed soon I'll be ending my subscription.”

“Sent an annual subscription of £54.81 about two weeks ago, money was taken from my bank account ten days ago. Absolutely nothing changed from my free account and it still asks me to join as soon as I open my account on dopple. I have sent numerous emails to their 'support' and haven#t had a single response. I find it hard to believe this site is not a scam. I want my money back.”

“I was a loyal user of Dopple AI to the point that I upgraded from monthly to annual subscription. Unfortunately, the app repeatedly broke down just a few months after the payment. Yes, I have wasted my money. Anyway, I couldn't turn back the time and I thought it was better not to waste more time with this app. I have nothing against Dopple AI since I'm not even an AI business owner. But seeing people keep using this app and constaintly complain about it raises my eyebrows. I'm asking this quest”

“I also tried asking my bank to block payments from this site and they said there is no way to block a merchant. I would have to ask the merchant to cancel. And when I try to fill out the contact us form, it gives me an error”

“so I've never really left a review before, but I felt a bit inclined to leave one for this app. I like dopple.ai for the most part, but whats really been grinding my gears is that I got suckered into paying for the stupid membership and im STILL getting ads, message limits- as if I didn't get the membership in the first place. some of the bots aren't terribly creative, and the message limit is 125 so take that as you will.”

When trying to message a character (assuming through the website), please be careful if the chat doesn't immediately load. “It's character ai on steroids. I actually came from Character ai because the filters got way strict to the point where 80% of the things got filtered out and the bots got worse so I switched. I think the UI is way better. The #nofilter is absolutely a plus and I really like that. The features overall feel more consistent and robust than with how Character AI implements it and I've been liking the switch so far. The thing that I think Character AI still does better though is the actual bots. Yes ”

“Honestly, I gave up on Dopple after they introduced ads. Somehow, along with them came a whole lot of bugs and every retry for a reply was the exact same as the previous one. I also looked far and wide for other sites, but they'd either have a long waiting time for a reply, limited messages, limited retries, the retries not being diverse and whole other stuff. The only ones that I found, without an NSFW filter, that have unlimited messages and are somewhat decent, are Chub.ai and Joyland.ai I ha”

“I feel like this app has potential to be great, especially considering that many of the features including creating your own chatbot are free. However upon trying to create my own chatbot, I ran into the problem of not being able to upload any photos. I could upload my own profile photo but when it came to uploading a profile photo and background photo for the chatbot (which is required to move forward), it refused to upload anything. I tried multiple devices and networks. Simply doesn't work.”

“So many bugs! I was enjoying it with the free trial however, i am not sure if i'll continue the subscription when i face these bugs. First, when the text stream is on, it suddenly stops and you have to exit to fix it, second, voice caption. The voice caption also stops, 3rd the voice training. I have to long scroll just to upload a audio file. And there is no delete options.”
